David Cheales is an experienced Insurance Consultant with a demonstrated history of working in several sectors of the insurance industry for the last 32 years. He inaugurated his career in 1986 as a North American Property broker and had the opportunity to work on many other classes of insurance, including Construction, Power, International Property and Specie, before concentrating on War and Terrorism 16 years ago.

As a well-known authority in War and Terrorism David has spoken at several conferences, the most recent being FERMA in Venice 2016, as well as having articles published by well-known papers and insurance magazines including, the Financial Times, Insurance Day, Business Insurance, the Insurance Letter, Strategic Risk and Post, to name but a few.

David was amongst the first Brokers and Underwriters to set up the Standalone Terrorism market in 2001 after the tragedy of 9/11, capacity being in the region of barely USD 100,000,000. Today, for this line of insurance it is in excess of USD 3,000,000,000 worldwide.
